Work performance data

Work performance data

Below are the description of all the uses of the working document “Work performance data”:

“Work Performance Data” is an output for the process “Direct and Manage Project Work “.
Work performance data are the raw observations and measurements identified during activities being performed to carry out the project work. Data are often viewed as the lowest level of detail from which information is derived by other processes. Data is gathered through work execution and passed to the controlling processes of each process area for further analysis.
Examples of work performance data include work completed, key performance indicators, technical performance measures, start and finish dates of schedule activities, number of change requests, number of defects, actual costs, and actual durations, etc.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Validate Scope”.
Work performance data can include the degree of compliance with requirements, number of nonconformities, severity of the nonconformities, or the number of validation cycles performed in a period of time.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Control Scope”.
Work performance data can include the number of change requests received, the number of requests accepted or the number of deliverables completed, etc.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Control Schedule”.
Work performance data refers to information about project progress such as which activities have started, their progress (e.g., actual duration, remaining duration, and physical percent complete), and which activities have finished.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Control costs”.
Work performance data includes information about project progress, such as which activities have started, their progress, and which deliverables have finished. Information also includes costs that have been authorized and incurred.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Control Quality “.
Work performance data can include:
– Planned vs. actual technical performance,
– Planned vs. actual schedule performance, and – Planned vs. actual cost performance.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Control communications “.
Work performance data organizes and summarizes the information gathered, and presents the results of comparative analysis to the performance measurement baseline.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Control Risks”.
Work performance data related to various performance results possibly impacted
by risks includes, but is not limited to:
– Deliverable status,
– Schedule progress, and – Costs incurred.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Control Procurements “.
Work performance data includes (1) the extent to which quality standards are being satisfied, (2) the costs that have been incurred or committed, and (3) identification of the seller invoices that have been paid. All data are collected as part of project execution.

“Work Performance Data” is an input for the process “Control Stakeholder Engagement”.
The work performance data are the primary observations and measurements identified during activities being performed to carry out the project work. Various measurements on project activities and deliverables are collected during various controlling processes. Data are often viewed as the lowest level of abstraction from which information is derived by other processes.
Examples of work performance data include reported percentage of work completed, technical performance measures, start and finish dates of schedule activities, number of change requests, number of defects, actual costs, actual durations etc.
